108 years in total, and 34 years for me. The long wait (longest in top-level North American sports) could be over in just a short while now.

Good luck Shorty.
Sick of the media fawning over the Cubs. Hope despite the loss of a couple of your best pitchers you turn them over.

World Series starts tonight. One of the two longest droughts in baseball will be gone by next week. Cubs last won the big one back in 1908.The Tribe in 1948. (And to think. We bemoan our lack of success.) As a Indians fan my colours are well and truly nailed to the mast. And to the massively rated underdogs. But thats how I enjoy most sports these days. I ain't going to call it. I'll let the wise and the good of WHO do that.
Enjoy.!

Miike,
Just read that - really good read.
I like hearing/reading anyone who has a real enthusiasm for a subject even if it's something I don't have much knowledge on and Murray is one of the best with things like that, I think he is a great broadcaster and journalist.
I've got a Friday night game so and decent seats behind the home dug out so hoping for a good evenings entertainment and hopefully i'll be able to follow the game... but even if not I'm sure me and my son will enjoy the experience.

He is playing well. The top 3 in our pitcher rotation are producing. Unfortunately Cain and Peavey at 4 and 5 are not so reliable.

I feel like a right girl, but i'll be supporting the A's, not just because they're the home team, but because I like their hats :)

A's v the Bluejays
If you were going to compare them to football clubs what would you say they'd be?
